Thomas C. Bridges, DDS was born and raised in the Bay Area.  Growing up the grandson of an oil painter, he enjoyed dabbling in various forms of art such as painting, sculpting, and photography. It was during his adolescence that his fascination and awareness of dentistry began. After undergoing a comprehensive 4 year orthodontic treatment of his own, he subsequently worked for his orthodontist while in college and decided that dentistry was a great fusion of his artistic and science background.  Dr. Bridges graduated from University of California, San Diego in 1994 with a degree in Physiology and Neuroscience and a minor in Spanish Literature.  He worked at University of California, San Francisco prior to dental school, researching ophthalmology diseases afflicting third world nations.  He then attended the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco and graduated in 1998 with honors.

While in dental school, Dr. Bridges co-founded S.C.O.P.E. (Student Community Outreach for Public Education) which has grown to be a successful student-run community education program at the dental school. He has been involved with Health Volunteers Overseas, traveling to Nicaragua to teach various dental procedures to the faculty and students of the Universidad Americana Dental School in Managua. Dr. Bridges had the pleasure of working in a group practice in San Francisco for 7 years prior to opening his own private practice in Union Square in 2005 and has been enjoying the art and science of dentistry there ever since.

At his San Francisco office at 360 Post Street, Suite 1010, Dr. Bridges has an exceptional staff with whom he strives to ensure optimal dental health and comfort for his patients. He has created an environment in which he would want to be treated himself. It is of utmost importance to him that he only utilize the dental procedures and materials that he would use in his own mouth. Only the best will do.

Dr. Bridges enjoys all forms of art and design, good food and entertainment, being with his family and friends, and traveling often.
